Overview:

The #ASSEZ campaign was a dynamic and impactful initiative launched by Eruption for a client as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, culminating on Human Rights Day. The campaign aimed to raise awareness, educate the public, and drive meaningful conversations about human rights and gender-based violence in Mauritius.

Objectives:

  • Highlight the prevalence of gender-based violence and advocate for change.
  • Educate the public on recognizing, addressing, and preventing abuse.
  • Promote the importance of human rights for all, without exception.
  • Empower victims and encourage societal support for their recovery.

Content and Execution:

  • Creative Visuals: Informative and emotive artworks addressing topics such as domestic violence, emotional abuse, coercive control, and child protection.
  • Impactful Statements: Testimonials from victims, statistics, and tips for prevention and support.
  • Interactive Engagement: Social media posts encouraged dialogue, provided resources, and supported victims in their journey.
  • Call to Action: Campaign messaging emphasized accountability, collective action, and the importance of knowing and protecting one’s rights.
